Are the pieces food safe?

Yes. All pieces are made using high-fire stoneware and food-safe materials. The transparent glaze used does not contain lead, cadmium or zinc, and is specifically formulated for high-temperature ceramic use. It is certified safe for food contact and suitable for everyday use.

Are the pieces dishwasher safe?

The pieces are dishwasher safe. Over time, some natural discolouration may appear on the unglazed base after several washes, which does not affect the quality or function. For pieces with an unglazed exterior, handwashing is recommended. Specific care notes are always highlighted on each product page.

What is stoneware and what process do you use?

All pieces are made from stoneware clay, fired at high temperatures for durability and daily use. Each item is shaped by hand on the wheel. You can read more about the process on the Process page.

Can I order any of the pieces I see on the website?

Yes. You can pre-order pieces from current collections: Shells and Meadow. Each item is made to order and will always be slightly unique. Visit the pre-order page or get in touch directly to find out more.

Can I place a custom order that is not part of a collection?

Yes. Whether it's a one-off piece or a larger order for your home, café or business, feel free to get in touch.

Do you sell through any shops?

Yes. A small selection of pieces is available at Charco Studio in Barcelona.

Do you ship outside the EU?

If you are based outside the EU, please get in touch and we can look into available options and costs.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your piece arrives broken, please get in touch within 5 days of delivery and include clear photos of the item and packaging. A suitable replacement or a refund will be arranged.

What if a piece from my set breaks later? Can I order a replacement?

While each item is unique, it is often possible to create a replacement that complements your original set.

How should I care for my pieces?

The pieces are made from high-fire stoneware and are built for daily use. They are dishwasher safe, though hand washing may help them stay looking their best over time. Some natural discolouration may appear on the unglazed base with regular use. This is normal and part of the material's character. Avoid exposing the pieces to extreme temperature changes, such as moving them directly from the fridge to a hot oven.
